The Concepts of Morals
When’s the last time you helped a complete stranger and expected nothing in return? I try to do a good deed every day, and sometimes I completely forget. However, on those days I do help someone else, I always get a good feeling deep inside in which I’m instantly reminded of my grandparents who taught me a lot about morals, my parents who always see the good in people and my family and friends who are there for me no matter what. One of my deepest core beliefs would be to have personal morals. People these days don’t seem to have the same morals that our grandparents had when they were our age. They were firm on discipline and respect for others. It was the “no ma-am yes ma-am” type of family. When something was asked of you, it was done no questions asked and if it wasn 't you got punished. My moral views starts with them, they are the ones who taught me the value of respect, treating others with compassion and integrity, and to always tell the truth no matter what. There were kids when I was younger that was doing the same thing I was always trying to do and ended up feeling great about themselves. We always ended up making questionable decisions that made us think about the whole right and wrong aspects of it. My parents never had to worry about me violating their trust or doing something that would get me in big trouble. There were times of course my friends and I would definitely tip toe that line but always ended up making the safer of the two questionable acts.
