In our world about 7 billion tons of carbon is released into our atmosphere every year through the work of emissions. Vehicle emissions are byproducts from the engine combustion process which exits the exhaust. These byproducts are highly toxic and dangerous to our planet. These emissions are a huge problem in our world today. We need to be more aware of these emissions caused by machines and vehicles because they are affecting life as we know it. Energy emissions are dangerous because they are a hazard to the health of people, they cause pollution, and is changing our ecosystem.
Vehicle emissions are dangerous because they are a hazard to the health of people. 1.When an average person is outside walking or even driving with …show more content…
The gases released from a vehicle are known as greenhouse gases. These gases sit at the lower part of the atmosphere and is slowly warming the planet. 1.) NASA found that global warming is changing the planets weather in many different regions. When a region 's climate changes it becomes a domino effect and will change everything around us. This change of weather results in more frequent hot days and fewer cold days.(NASA). This proves that severe storms and droughts will become more and more frequent as time goes on. QUESTION: about california. 2.) According to panda.com global warming is causing a huge problem in the arctic and polar regions on Earth. The icecaps are melting which is putting a few species to extinction and causing massive floods all over the world. The sea levels have increased roughly 2 inches in the past decade and the rate of rising is quickly accelerating.(NASA) Every year 12 billion tons of ice are melting every year and that means more floods. Research explains that after these ice caps melt that many islands and coastal areas will be underwater. Also sea water will contaminate underground water and fresh water which is necessary for life to survive. Flooding will also put a huge impact on agriculture and will destroy crop fields where much of the worlds food is grown. As global warming is melting these ice caps it is resulting in bigger and bigger problems for our future …show more content…
An ecosystem is a biological community of organisms and their community.1.) Emissions are putting pressure on ecosystems by warming temperatures and shifting growing seasons in many parts of the globe. NASA states discovered that the growing season in parts of the northern hemisphere became 2 weeks longer in just half a century(Charles Ikoku). This results in bad growing seasons because the termites won’t die of the cold and the soil doesn’t have time to fertilize in the resting season resulting in a poor crop. Because of this the longer growing season isn’t actually beneficial to humans or the crops themselves. 2.)The EPA proves that the changing ecosystem also has a large impact on life during migration season. Because of the changing seasons migrating animals have to start seeking food sources earlier. This results in an animal being rushed all the time which means less time for mating season. The same situation happens with insects. The shift in seasons may cause pollinators like bees to be out of sync with flowers and other plants they need to survive. Both plants and insects work together in unity and without one of them the other will not function properly. Something as simple as a few weeks makes a big difference when an ecosystem is on a specific schedule. 3.) Charles Ikoku explains that many ecosystems maximum daily temperatures change which could hurt a species population. When an ecosystem
