King Leonidas: Movie Analysis

The main purpose of this essay is to identify the leader’s characteristics, behavior and style that the leader plays a role in a movie. Briefly define what is leadership before introduce the movie. Leadership is a process that a group people are influenced by an individual in order to achieve a same goal (Northhouse 2007, p.3). For this assignment, I have chosen 300 (Frank Miller & Lynn Varley 2006) among those movies. We are going to discuss King Leonidas characteristics, behavior and style because he is the main actor in this movie. King Leonidas is a great leader which has shown in the movie. In this story of 300, it talks about the King Leonidas history of his life time. He went through lots of struggles of physical training when he was in young age. When grew up, Spartan doctrine passed the power to Leonidas whom known as King Leonidas. Being a great leader, he had gone through lots of suffering. King Leonidas has a passion and courage to show his people that will never betray each other among their team. Because of Leonidas had passion on the war, this helps him won the wars with a good plans without asking any question from his armies. He is courage enough to challenge enemy with just only 300 armies.
In terms of leadership characteristics, King Leonida had shown his ambitious characteristics together with his well respect position and status. He came out with many new strategies to win the wars with just 300 armies. Because of his ambitious wanted to save his country and his armies, he did not give up to encourage his followers to stay and found out the weakness of the enemies. He did show a very obvious of strong ambition in his leadership
