I have had interest in mechanics since I was a little boy. Most people when they’re kids dream of being pilots or astronauts but not me, I wanted to be a mechanical engineer. There was a task in this event in which teams were to build a bridge that could withstand 3 weights which had to be put on each side of the bridge. Everybody started showing their mastery in this task and quickly started building it but I took my time to think of all the possibilities that would fit in this situation. After the time was up everybody had their bridges ready and presented in front of themselves. When the judges started putting weights on each of the bridges, no bridge was strong enough to withstand all the 3 weights at same time. The weights where hanged on the bridges with the help of a rod that was placed vertically. The inefficiency of others to place the rod horizontally triggered me and I asked the judge to place the rod horizontally so to avoid the weight being applied at one point it stabilized it and my bridge was the only bridge that able to withhold the three weights. My teachers who had accompanied us to this event and the judge who was present their congratulated me on achieving something no one else in that room
