Wrinkles. Gray hair. Memory hiccups. All “symptoms” of becoming wise, and old. Aging is often referred to as a disease. However, without death, the world would become a crowded and stressful place. Even though everyone could learn, study, and create without dying, humans should not be allowed to live forever due to controversy, environmental issues, and the role playing of God.

Natural resources are scarce as they are, but what about having millions of people inhabiting the Earth… It would become tremendously overpopulated, and resources would completely run out! “What have they crowded out that was more beautiful or more important?” (215) The overcrowding of humans would cause clogging or even overdevelopment. The amount of humans living on Earth what supress all numbers of the needed nutrients and resources to live. While thinking of themselves and trying to do anything they want, humans may forget about the environment. “The last wild polar bear has died.” (6), which would likely happen due to humans being allowed to live forever. They might also forget that resources are not plentiful! “At the turn of the last century, someone thought he could make his fortune raising the timber for railroad ties. As it turned out, the wood was too hard for cutting once it fried, and the groves were abandoned. They spread on their own, sometimes wiping out native species of plants.” (215) Trying to do too many things that have not been backed up with evidence, can be completely harmful to the environment!
