The convention where Memey shared her testimony may further her credibility because the convention was held by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime at their headquarters in Vienna, Austria. The UNODC is an international agency apart of the United Nations that was established in 1997. The international agency has had many years of experience with the issue of human trafficking and has an international campaign to end human trafficking as well; the Blue Heart Campaign by the UNODC works to encourage involvement and action to help end human trafficking and has been adopted by several countries all over the world, including Brazil, Lebanon and Mexico.
