Casinos are linked to many important issues, but the three that I would say are most important are gambling addiction (81%), family troubles (69%), and increase of taxes (50%). I think that both gambling addiction and increase of taxes are all connected to family troubles because addiction and loss of money obviously will affect a family, but also even if a mother or father does not gamble, they could still face financial trouble due the rise in taxes. The public would also agree with me because the top three answers on if they had to choose one of the many issues were gambling addiction, family troubles, and taxation. I was surprised that 38.1% of people who took the survey said that casinos do not encourage any vices or only encourage gambling casinos. The question that asked what the nest part of a casino is, I blindly answered card game, but in reality, I think that I best part would be a mix of everything. Playing blackjack, poker, slot machines, horse racing, etc. all ties in to the total casino experience. I was a bit surprised when I saw that 31% said that card counting is not considered cheating. To me I think it is totally illegal to count cards, especially when a team and code phrases are involved. To me, anything that gives you a distinct advantage over everyone else, no matter what it is, is cheating. However, I do not think that it is considered cheating to memorize the Black Jack probability table because of the key word probability. Black Jack is still a guessing game no matter how much you can memorize, I do not think trying to remember a probability table would classify. Lastly, I think that casinos be allowed to manage their casinos and players how they see fit, although I would urge them to kick out any players who are card counting.
