Are Teachers Overpaid
Recently, many have argued whether teachers are being overpaid or not. Some think teachers are overpaid because they believe that the benefits teachers are given, such as holiday policies, surpass the actual value of the teachers. Others argue that teachers are underpaid because they have high value and their pay does not match their value. Although some arguments against the current issue concerning the overpayment of teachers are valid, teachers are not overpaid; they are underpaid for two main reasons; contribution and high pressure.

In my opinion, I do not think the teachers are overpaid. Actually, they are underpaid. People could not just look at the data to make judgments about what they earn. People also need to consider how they contribute to their jobs. Teaching is not an easy job. They are not only just going to class and teaching. They need to prepare many things before such as how to attract students ' attention and how they can let students learn better. After class, they still need to check the students’ work and find the way to encourage pupils to improve. Teachers not only pay for the knowledge, but also pay for their hard work. Some people might think they have too many fringe benefits such as vacation but how about the pressure they have when they are in class? They face the pressure not only from the students but also from parents and their leaders. Even though some argue that teachers are overpaid, teachers should have payment amount that they earn. Teaching is not an easy job. Teachers should be considered all-round capabilities they have.
