“Covered nonexempt employees must receive overtime pay for hours worked over 40 per workweek (any fixed and regularly recurring period of 168 hours — seven consecutive 24-hour periods) at a rate, not less than one and one-half times the regular rate of pay” (FLSA). The U.S. labor standard shows the common work hours per week is 40 hours, and an employee work over 40 hours should get a higher rate of pay. It doesn’t mean people should only work 40 hours per week, but it means people still have other important things to do in the rest of time which worth higher pay if people use the rest of time for work. People cannot only live for work. In this case, it is clearly the woman want to be a good mother and a good wife. Although she is so busy at work, but she still spend time with her children. However, the result trend to the way which she doesn’t expected.
For children, the family is the first school for children’s lives. First, they learn their personal value of their family. It doesn’t mean they learn what their parents talk about. They also learn from parents’ behavior. The parents both were busy at work and they were so tired
