Some of the different elements of finance that we learned included the income statement, balance sheet, break even calculations, and many other tools. Through the course I began to understand how accounting is beyond the calculation of numbers, and is more of an influencing factor on the other aspects of a business. An example of this would be how management accounting works, which is centred around sales and the development of measurements to assist in the growth of the business. I learned how important it was to figure out the tabulation of reports, and how crucial the break-even calculation is. These calculations are crucial, since they are than used in operations and logistics to help decide on the quantities and types of products to produce. Also the infamous misconceptions of accountants was changed for me, since I came to see accountants as people who exude confidence in their work, and produce numbers that contribute to the overall efficiency of the …show more content…
Value proposition in it’s broadest sense is divided as the grouping of products or services in the mind of a consumer. Reading this you probably think that the definition explicitly screams importance, but for me this was not as transparent. It was only through readings cases that I came to understand that every decision a business makes is connected to the brands value proposition. An idea from one the classes that really provoked my interest was the idea that value proposition is about brand values and how the values reflect into a customer segment. This idea that the values a brand portrays affects their customers so strongly was something I had never understood before. Now I understand the reason as to why we gravitate to certain products, and how what we buy are a representation of the values we have as consumers. In class this was illustrated through the beauty campaigns launched by Dove, it preached that women were loved regardless of how they are. Not only are value propositions a central focus to help increase the inflow of profit, but it also helps the brands create connections to their customers on a more personal

Having the opportunity to learn ACCG 399 has allowed me to gain the most valuable and helpful experience throughout three years of Bachelor study. And what I have attained the most are from the study of social, institutional and accounting professional aspects. Throw back to the conventional explanation of accounting regarding its practical application in the corporation fields, it has been defined as the process of undertaking analysis, preparing and recording the financial information of a venture, with the intention to deliver useful guidelines to various uses in the decision making. Prior to undertake this unit, my comprehension of accounting were merely revolving around the technical perspectives relating to taxation, financial accounting…

I would have. The reason I would have let Paul go by his request is because no business needs an individual that treats their workers the way he does and because of his insubordination towards higher ups. His actions during the meeting should show you the way he carries himself at work. Ways businesses are dealing with these situations are by making sure to document all interactions with employees. Also companies are stepping up the way they recruit employees.…

In fact, before signing up for this class, I did not know the proper way to compose an academic essay for a particular audience, and how to properly cite my sources. Nevertheless, after the short summer session, I am able to define my purpose and audience, analyze critically any piece of information, and write with proper citations and fewer grammatical errors with confidence. Through the short time of 5 weeks, I learned how to focus on my audience as well as how to define the purpose of my papers as academically as possible.…

Learning to write When I attended elementary school, part of the curriculum was penmanship. There was a certain segment of instruction dedicated to penmanship rather than writing. We were given large sheets of oat colored paper with three parallel lines widely spaced. The alphabets were used to print and write in cursive using the midpoint, and upper lines for capital letters. The handwriting grades were based on neatness and readability.…

As a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major, English courses have always been viewed as inferior and subpar to STEM courses. Throughout the course, much of what was studied and the concepts that were introduced surprisingly fell in line with those of a scientist. Although science does involve quantitative analysis and calculations, it must all be translated into a dissertation explaining qualitative details. As the Winter quarter comes to a close, I have taken the time to reflect upon the English language and the uses it has in my future endeavors. The purpose of this essay is to review key UWP 1 concepts, learning outcomes, and their effects on my English education and personal growth.…

How I plan to teach Culturally and Linguistically Diverse students, is to use what I have learned in EDU 305 as a guideline to apply what has been taught in class and use it for my students in the future. Ideally, I would like to teach at high school level in South Korea. I also find that helping CLD students who are learning English as their second language also fits for what I plan for the future. With high schoolers, some of the students that just came to America would not understand English well. When students starts to learn English around the ages of 15-18 years old, it can be frustrating and difficult for them.…

Everyone hates English class is what I thought before taking English 102. However, that may have been the case before I entered Dr. Byrd’s domain, but after finishing the class I have come to the realization that English class can be greatly resourceful. English 102 this year has had its ups and downs, and I must admit the ups outweigh the downs. Meaning, this year, I have learned that I am not a student who wants to read or write, but through reading and writing my mind and skill sets concerning English have grown. During English 102 this year, reading and writing in class helped me expand my writing skills, improved my will to comprehend, and most importantly helped expand my knowledge.…

Accrual Accounting is a method of accounting in which economic consequences define transactions instead of cash flow consequences . Cash Accounting is a method in which cash flow consequences , rather than economic consequences, define transactions , that is , events are defined as cash transactions are recorded only when cash changes hands (Siegel &Yacht , 2009 ). Both Methods are believed to have been textually published by Pacioli in 1994 ,even though they began to be used by traders earlier in order to record and track economic activities and cash flow by the modern accounting technique age when Europe was flourishing in many regards and trade singularly . Accounting , through these two methods , helps perform the same functions as those performed by early traders , that is , keeping track economic transactions ( exchanges , cash in , cash out , with the proper timing ) . Those transactions can be tracked through accounting journal and ledgers quasi in the same way at the corporate and the individual level as shown in Alice ‘s efforts to assess her current situation ; each transaction has a relevant account…
