First, I want to thank you for standing in for me and carrying out my plans for today 's classes. Although I am not there to supervise the students, I expect each of them to follow the rules, procedures, and daily routines that I have established since the beginning of the year. I have included in the substitute folder the list of procedures and rules that must be followed and if students choose to break the rules, the consequences listed on the sheet should be applied. For your convenience, I have attached referral slips to the folder. The student roster and seating chart are provided in the folder in order for you to take role and identify the name of every student in the class.

Introduction- This section welcomes the substitute into my classroom and lets her know what students need special assistance and the contact names of numbers she may need while she is in the classroom.
2. Classroom Roster and Seating Chart- These two sheets will help the substitute to take role quickly and give he or her the ability to identify students ' names easily. In case of an emergency, she will be able to refer to the roster to ensure that all of the students are present during the drill or event.
3. Classroom Procedures- The list of procedures should include all of the functions of how the classroom should usually run. It will include how students ask to use the restroom, getting up from their seats, how to quiet the room, what they need to do when they finish their work if there is not an anchor activity provided, and arrival and dismissal procedures.
4. Classroom Rules- These rules are also posted on the classroom wall. These are important for the substitute to enforce along with applying the consequences for those who choose to break the rules. Daily Schedule- This will give the substitute the list of start and ending class times, students that are scheduled to leave during class for special instruction, planning period, lunch, and if there is any additional duties they need to fulfill while I am away such a lunch duty.
7. Lesson Plans- The lesson plan will list exactly what the class is expected to do during the class period. I will attach any worksheets that are necessary for the lesson with specific instructions for the substitute. I will include whether he or she will need to collect the work and whether they should put it. Additionally, I will provide an anchor activity for students to do if they finish their work early.
8. Feedback Sheet- I will provide a feedback sheet for the substitute for fill out prior to them leaving for the day. I will ask how the lessons went and if there were any problems during the classes. The sheet will allow the substitute to easily and quickly inform me of how his or her day went and notifying me of any things that I can change to make the classes run more smoothly when I am
