Kierkegaard beieved that the existence of God was beyond human comprehension and therefore needs no explaination. He also stated that although believeing in God is irrational it is still a possibility. Tolstoy came to conclusión very differently. Tolstoy was on the search for the meaning of life, later did her come to conclude that life has no purpose. He wanted to at one point end his life. 13. Explain and evaluate Pascal’s Wager. Would belief based on such an argument get you into heaven?
Pascal’s Wager is the idea that the benefit in believing in God outweighs the risks of not believing. Basically believing just to believe, just in case he does exist. Believing meant you were able to go to heaven and not believing meant you would go to Hell. This is a hard question to answer. I believe God is almighty and grants forgiveness and salvation to all. Therefore, if you are a good person and do good he will grant you entrance into heaven and vise versa.
