The legacy of Bay of Pigs
The battle of bay of pigs started on April 17, 1961 (History.com). The bay of pigs of 1961 was a huge fail it made America look bad (History.com). The attack on cuba was suppose to stop communist on that island (U.S. History). Fidel Castro the leader for cuba was a very strong man and smart. At this time the president was John F Kennedy he sent the attack on the cubans that turned out to be a big failure (Awesome stories). It was one of the worse mistakes that United States had made at this time. In all this stuff happen during the cold war, but we had a horrible defeat, and lost a lot of men in that horrible defeat/lost. America had a hard lost that day it was a very hard lost.

The the date of the attack was on April 17 , 1961 one of the worst mistakes ever. After the defeat over Cuba about 200 men surrender in the United States sent this boat to Cuba with 35 million dollars worth of food to get the men that surrender to be back in their home with their family (Web.b.ebscohost.com. The two secretaries at this time was Chester Bowles, and Dean Rusk and the did not want to send the attack on Cuba (History of cuba). The americans sent jets to help after the ground team got defeated horribly against Cuba (History.State.Gov). United States hired a whole lot of mercenaries to the island where some of the men surrendered at (www..history.com). Some of the plans were made by the Central intelligence agency none as “CIA’’. President Dwight Eisenhower wanted to take out Fidel Castro while he was in office, but he couldn 't cause when he was in office is when the big great depression happened (U.S. History). Fidel Castro died February 3, 2015 and the cuban blamed it on the americans cause no one knew why he had died. One of his famous quotes he wrote was “A revolution is a struggle to the death between the future and past”... After about 24 hours of fighting Fidel Castro sent 20,000 more troops to the shore where the battle was at, and the americans got destroyed (JFK library.org). Fidel Castro knew that america was planning on attacking them because there was rumors going around about the attack. So really the rumors is what killed United States Army because if rumors wasn 't going around we could sneaked up on them and had a easy win. Cuba had a real good win in there part because now they look tough and look hard to defeat. It should had been planned better because it was getting sent all around the world that we was going to send another attack. Fidel Castro was a real good president and did not give up on what he believed. Fidel Castro wanted to be the best president Cuba had and he was a really good one.
