In the “Fall of the House of Usher” it was the narrator and Rodrick’s sister that transform. Rodrick’s sister is the scariest human that transformation because she died and came back to life looking all weird. Then you have the narrator who also changes in the end but its more he changes because of all that happened in the house. “Frankenstein” is a good example also because you have the monster that transforms. The monster transforms in two ways, first he was a regular 8ft tall human being that died then was brought back to life by Victor. He also changes because when he was created he was just a sad monster that just wanted to be loved, then changed into a crazy murderer trying to torment Victor. I think this transformation is very important because this happens to many murderers in our world, at least i think so, murderers start with a regular life but are rejected and not loved then transform for the worst and start killing people. Also in the one story where there are human hybrids this is a crazy transformation because no one likes to see humans transform to something …show more content…

When the transformations first occur in both novels there are those who are revolted by it and there are those who are accepting of the transformation even though they don’t understand it and they are very disturbed by it. As both novels move forward after the initial transformation there are more complex problems that arise, such as when Gregor’s sister feeds him and actually sees what he has become in “Metamorphosis” and the destructive tendencies coupled with the telepathic abilities that occur when the zombies are gathered into groups in “Handling the Undead.” As both of these novels point out, there are always issues with dealing with those who have changed and bring up the question in the reader’s mind of whether it is better to hold on to a loved one even after they are no longer what they once were, or…
