The thought of death and revenge seemed to be Hamlet’s escape. Many people have their own way to escape the company of grief. While having grief keep me company after losing my sister I took things hard. Just as Hamlet’s father’s death was incidental her death was as well. It created anger in my soul that made me angry at the doctors and at God. Many people face grief in a plethora of ways. Just as Hamlet and I did we may build anger in our souls. One may turn to drugs and alcohol to ignore the pain inside. Perhaps they become rebellious to God and believe that it was his fault or they may lean on our their faith in the Lord and create a testimony from their experiences. Not only is Hamlet the one grieving now, but Laertes becomes mad after losing his father and sister. Which causes him to have a desire to kill Hamlet. Laertes deals with the loss of his family in numerous ways. Laertes jumps in the grave with his sister confessing his own sorrow for her death insinuating he wants to be buried with her. He is not the only one though, Hamlet jumps in confessing that he loved her and grieves even more also insinuating he wants to be buried with Ophelia. Which only foreshadows what is to come for both of the gentleman. Shakespeare constructed Hamlet around grief. Just as in reality everyone was affected by grief and everyone handled it in different ways. By the end of the play those who faced grief received death.
