Improved Essays
In this paper, I am going to cover 3 cultural symbols that I have no knowledge of. The three symbols that I decided to use are, coexist, hear no evil/see no evil/speak no evil, and the inverted pentagram. Coexist basically revolves around, a symbol meaning you do not have to accept Jesus as your one and only savior. Hear no evil/see no evil/speak no evil on the other hand means exactly what it says; In other words, stay far away from evil. In closing, I will talk about the inverted pentagram. This shows how evil and satanic this symbol tends to be. All of these symbols are beyond different/interesting in there on special way. I will do my best to describe the history behind these emblems to the best of ability. Let’s begin!

It 's also a way to get people to accept Islam, witchcraft and the mark of the beast. To accept anything and everything and to just get along. Christians believe that this is a sign of the coming of Jesus and the showing of the antichrist among the people. Do you ever wonder what it each letter stands for? Let’s find out! C with the star is the crescent moon symbolizing Islam, O is the peace symbol representing the upside down cross (ancient anti-Christian symbol), E represents the feminist movement and promotion of transgender/homosexuality, X is the Star of David, symbol for Judaism, which denies Jesus as Messiah, I is dotted with a witchcraft pentagram, S is the symbol for yin-yang (representing Buddhism and Hinduism), and T is the Christianity symbol. I personally feel that the coexist symbol is very interesting. Not only is it interesting, but it allows everyone to be able to express their religion in the process. Everyone understands that we all as humans will NEVER agree with believing in the …show more content…
As I listed above in my abstract, Inverted Pentagram is defined as “The inverted pentagram has come to come to be known as evil, also known to represent the dark side, and tremendous amount of chaos. According to the article “the Inverted Pentagram first made its appearance somewhere around 3500 B.C” (Inverted Pentagram.) Would you believe me if I said that the Inverted Pentagram wasn’t just based on Satanic things? History also confirms, that Witch and Wizard usage also relates to the Inverted Pentagram. Traditional as I’m sure you’re aware, Americans aren’t to fund of this here sign. Most believers of the good Lord himself know why and that reason is, it all consist of this man called SATAN! The works of the devil is only wanted by those who agree with his decisions, and insist on following his callings. This is a forever thing, Christians and Satanism will never ever see eye to eye. And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to wonder why they won’t. I will never agree with this symbol because I am forever with God. No one or anything will ever change my feelings towards him. This symbol is new, but not new to me. I say this because I’ve heard, and see some of the Satin symbols before; meaning I’ve only seen the images. I am really happy that I decided to choose this sign because it allowed me to gain a better understanding of the symbol itself. Nonetheless, this was a very useful assignment! It allowed

Beginning in the late 1400s, the contact between the Europeans and the Native Americans has claimed to shape the time period into an era called the Collision of Cultures. This time period experienced drastic changes amongst these two groups, which primarily were not supposed to be as life changing. Everyone in America and Europe were completely unaware of the existence of each other—much less aware of how to interact and get along with one other first hand. The Collision of Cultures seemed to be inevitable while the Europeans constantly searched for bigger and more beneficial ways to better themselves. On the other hand, the Native Americans were settled in their own ways and they seemed content until the Europeans came along.…

Book Arrangement: When Britain was in danger and distress during World War II, the country’s radio stations called upon Clive Staples Lewis to deliver a simple, earnest message concerning the Christian faith to the despairing population. The broadcasts were well received, and Lewis later published these talks as three separate works: Broadcast Talks (1942), Christian Behavior (1943), and Beyond Personality (1944). Eventually, Lewis merged the trio into a single body: Mere Christianity. This piece housed a preface, a foreword, and four distinct “books” that each targeted a separate portion of Christian theology. Prior to the primary reading, the Preface described Lewis’s process of transposing his spoken words into written text, and the Foreword provided Kathleen Norris’s favorable view of both the book and author.…

The Swastika has been held to many ideologies over the course of its existence. At present, its most widely known and understood message is that of the Nazi regime; a twisted, anti-Semitic movement that brought the entire world to a screeching, weeping halt. Just the sight of the four pronged, askew symbol puts many people on edge. Nowadays, only members of white power gangs affiliate themselves with such a wronged symbol. However, every criminal has a story, and even a criminalized symbol had to have come from somewhere.…

The symbol stands for the Congregation as a whole. While most individuals will associate it with Spiderman, Webheads will associate it with the Congregation and how the Congregation honors Spiderman. They see other people wearing the symbol as advertising their beliefs even if they don’t support the ideas of the Congregation. It does anger Webheads when others wear the symbol, but they do enjoy the publicity of everyone wearing it. The symbol is also prominently displayed throughout Congregation buildings, which shows in the space that the symbol is representative of the religion as a…

The reason the picture and the book are connected is because Marjane believes what she wants to believe, not following any specific religion and more the basic outline of Islam.
