Business ethics is something everyone should have. It shows a reflection of the person 's character. Business ethics is having moral principles, such as knowing from what’s right and wrong. In a business their employee’s business ethics are extremely important because it’s all about customer service. To me business ethics is knowing what is right and wrong. It impacts everyone and their conduct. It’s important to be honest and have morals for yourself. Not only does having business ethics important in the business field, but in society’s everyday life. In a business, a person ethics is critical because it’s reflects on the company. The number one most vital component in a company is customer service. Not always, but employees are asked to go against their morals and do what that person asking of them. To me, it is more rewarding doing what’s right and having a clean conscience, than doing wrong and having that feeling bother me. The Ethics of Excellence by Price Pritchett, it declares, “When you hold out for high standards, people are impressed-but they don’t always like you for it” (1). It sad that sometimes it comes with a cost of being dislike. For example, a person who is your friend can ask you to do something you know is wrong, such as lie for them or clock in the wrong time for them. If you don’t do it, your friend can be upset because you did what’s right.To them it doesn’t seem like a huge deal. In The Ethics of Excellence, Pritchett states, “ When you see people with ‘the right stuff,’ those who choose right over wrong ‘iffy,’ let them know you’re proud of them” (2). This is one thing everyone should do because it helps build everyone together. Uplifting each other for doing what’s ethical and a showing that we noticed the little things. It does help to praise and show that we are proud of the person. Moreover will lift up the spirits of the person being praised and show that we appreciate them. It nice to acknowledge those who are doing good.
In a Christian view, it is wrong to lie and it helps mold humans way of life. As a Christian, it’s important to do what is right and treat others well. This help people with their business ethics and feel good about doing the right thing. It’s hard to do what is right sometimes, but as long as you do your best. Also, not jeopardizing your relationship with Jehovah God. Doing what is righteous is the right thing to do.
Ethics of business is important to me because it keeps me grounded. It guides me in the choices I make everyday and help me throughout my life to get along with people. Business ethics is knowing what is right and wrong. I think people should try their best and do what’s right. Also, help each other and build each other up.
