"Entrepreneurship is much broader than the creation of a new business venture, At its core, it is a mind-set-a way of thinking and acting. It is about imagining new ways to solve problems and create value."(Entrepreneurship?, 2016) For many years I had a limited idea about starting a business. I imagined tech geniuses with Masters degrees, while at the very same time i pictured small business owners opening up their shop doors on West Street. Through books and the internet my knowledge on what makes a good entrepreneur has been insightful, and life altering to say the least. What makes a good entrepreneur
I could mention a many qualities that make a good entrepreneur, however after much thought, I realized that a long list with pretty words will not be a true reflection of who I am exactly. The list below are qualities I believe make a good entrepreneur, qualities I believe I hold to a degree.
⦁ Perseverance- This goes without saying, without perseverance many goals will not be achieved. As engineering students, we face a lot of challenges that we feel are to great to handle at the moment, however, we persevere until our goal is met, whether that is an incredibly difficult structures assignment, or Maths 3 exam . Like wise, Entrepreneurs inevitably face challenges, even setbacks, during their quest for business success. Successful entrepreneurship requires that you persevere and pursue your idea even when your situation appears bleak.(Smallbusiness.chron.com,
