In the world of sales there is never a minute when your competitors are trying to beat you by getting to new clients before you or maybe even stealing your long time clients. This is why in many corporate businesses they have order takers and order getters sales jobs working within the sales department. Many people in sales may even question which category their sales job would fall under. This essay will discuss and explain the reason why order takers and order getters are both important within an organization. This will be shown through explaining what they are, what their main objective is, and different salary structures these jobs have. In addition I will talk about how their responsibilities, and how their personally psychology can often show which jobs would be better suit their emotional well being. If a person is shy with walking into a business and trying to sell a product to a person you have never meet, the position of a order getter might not be for you. This people have to be extremely comfortable with face to face talking about products without really knowing the other person. This means the person may be able to handle the role of an order taker better than an order getter. Another addition to the psychology of the jobs are uncertainty. As a order getter you have to be more comfortable with the risk of not making sales could mean no food on the table for your family. Some people need a more secure and reliable pay that guarantees their salary. As an order taker these people are comfortable with their pay be relied on compensation from their sales. For some people this is what makes them thrive at work to generate new leads and close sales.
