Comparison And Contrast Of Tikki-Tavi

This brave mongoose befriended a young boy named Timmy. While exploring the garden outside of Teddy’s bungalow, Rikki-Tikki kills many snakes that live in the garden. In the book, Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, and the movie that is based on that book, there are similarities and differences in the setting, conflict, and characters. Two evil cobras named Nag and Nagaina are the antagonists in the story. These snakes target animals that live in the garden outside a young boy named Teddy’s bungalow. Rikki-Tikki has a feud with the cobras Nag and Nagaina. Another similar character is the tailorbird, Darzee, and his wife. There are many things that are similar to the characters in Rikki-Tikki, nevertheless, there are some differences. One difference is about the main character, Rikki-Tikki. In the book, Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, Rikki-Tikki roams the gardens at night and is a very wild creature. (Kipling) Unlike the book, Rikki-Tikki sleeps with the little boy, Teddy in his bed every night and is tamer than the book says he is.
