I graduated with Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management and International Business. In May of 2014, I became the first in my family to graduate from college. Our business program allowed for us learn ethical business practices and how to be effective leaders in today’s global business environment. We were all encouraged to choose a concentration before starting our third year. For me the decision was simple. I knew that I wanted to study international business and management. I was fascinated by traveling and meeting people from different cultures. The courses I took, International Business, Human Resources Management, Entrepreneurship, and Organizational Behavior, allowed me to do that while being in the classroom. We had many foreign exchange students, and they shared their stories and experiences. Some of my professors had the opportunity to work abroad and they shared their experiences as well. I was a member of Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Inc. While in the organization, I held the positions of Chapter President, Secretary, Community Service Chair, Fundraising Chair, and Recruitment Organizer. I was also part of the Multicultural Greek Counsel (MGC) as a representative for my organization. I was the liaison between our chapter and the university. I was also a part of the Chicano/a Latino/a Graduation Association, where I was a member. As president, I was in charge of leading our weekly chapter meetings, attending the weekly MGC meetings, and any meetings with university officials. All of these positions taught me time management, how to communicate in professionally in person and in writing, organizational skills, and most importantly how to be an effective leader. These organizations allowed me put in use what I was learning in the classroom. By holding all of these positions, I was able to grow as a person, a sister, and a professional, and I believe that they will help me be successful in my post graduate
