The Secret Monologue

"Proserpina, my love please come out and eat." I groaned to myself not again. First of all I am not his love, second doesn 't he understand I will not eat until he allows me to leave this place. Although he has been trying so hard, I feel bad to act so cold towards him, because it just really isn 't my personality. I just cannot stop thinking about what my mother is going through right now, she warned me not to go into the garden alone. And what do I do? Exactly what she told me not to, which is why I am here and she must be worried sick about me. I hate to put her through that stress. If only I could just tell her I was alright and alive, excluding the fact I am sitting here in the underworld.

Eventually it got quiet. He must have left.

Why can 't he go kidnap some other girl without any family why did he choose me?"
"Because he fell in love honey. The moment he saw you, you lit up his heart. You cannot control love especially at first site. No, no honey can 't control that kind of love it 's real. I 'd know!"
"Oh wow I do not know what to say."
"You don 't need to say anything honey just think about it. He isn 't as bad as you think. Someone you have to get to know, and don 't forget he already loves you."

I left the kitchen and started walking straight again. Assuming the first door I 'd find belonged to the room I was staying in. Eventually I found it, I stepped inside. My brain was crammed with all this need found information. He really loves me? How could I be sure? If he loved me wouldn 't he want me to be happy meaning being able to see my mother? I laid down going over and over solutions. I mean he is handsome with his large built, sculpted face, and dark hair that occasionally falls over his eyes. Well that tells me attraction is definitely not the issue. He is nice too and caring. I mean I could give him a chance, but I know a rule-breaker is not being able to see my mother. I kept going back and forth and before I slipped into sleep I figured out a

I can go. Are you hungry? Probably not, I don 't know why I asked.
He rambled on and on as if I made him so nervous he couldn 't stop speaking. It was actually quite comical.
"Pluto."
He immediately turned to look at me, shocked I answered and gave him acknowledgement that didn 't sound angry. "I am not angry with you, but I think we need to talk. I know you have feelings for me and I 'll admit in the beginning I was not fond of you. Now though I can see you do have a heart, I do not want to be miserable here if I 'm stuck here for eternity. I want you and I to have a chance. Although Pluto I love my mother and I always will. I cannot live a happily life without ever seeing her again. So my point is if you cannot allow me to see her once a month, that is all I ask for a whole day, then return to the underworld with you. I will live here happily with you forever without ever attempting to leave you."

He looks at me shocked considering that is the most I have said to him since I have been here. He studies my face, then bites his lip I can see he is thinking of a response. He grabs his jaw and closes his eyes then lets out a deep

Today is going to be just like any other day, I sketched in my morning journal. The morning Baltimore sun shone past the skyscrapers of downtown, and light protruded through the silk blinds that covered half of the picture window in my room. I rose up from my queen bed. The sheets had become untucked and the comforter lay halfway off the edge. My back rested against the mahogany headboard with my head fitting perfectly between two of the wooden posts.…

I take a step outside, and I feel a blast of chilly Fall air as it breezes leaves through the wind. I love the Fall outdoors. Once I go outside I escape everything: My older sister, my noisome and demanding dog, and my small mountain of math homework left unfinished. The smell of Autumn invades my nostrils, and it reminds of the time before pre-Algebra, when I had so much free time. Free time to be spent on complaining about how much that I needed, just needed, a new bicycle.…

I kneeled down on the roof of an abandoned apartment, watching my next prey. I woke up in the corner of my room where I had made a small bed on the floor last night, for the second time. I remembered the reason why I slept on the floor and looked over towards my bed to see the boy still sleeping. I got up and changed his bandages and moved his stuff and the towels from in the washer to the dryer. After I finished putting everything into the dryer and starting it, I went back into my room to grab my writing assignment that was assigned in class yesterday and I went downstairs to write. After looking around the house to make sure nobody was home, I sat on the couch in the living room, trying to think of what to write.…
