Tide Pods. The bright, colorful, new, innovative, stain fighting pod that’s taking the world by storm for all the right or wrong reasons depending how you look at it. On one side is the memers, the people who are using Tide Pods as a joke. Such as putting them on a pizza or pasta or some food related item and saying how delicious Tide Pods are and snapping a picture as a joke and posting it online. They put captions comparing it to candy and call it the “Forbidden Fruit.” But some people on this side take a much more serious route by actually eating the laundry pods and posting the videos of them doing so online! I say that, but I know that one person's word won't really make a difference in the end, even thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions of people's words won't really make a difference because that’s the internet. The internet takes the boundaries and lines that are deemed unacceptable and smashes through it , makes a mockery of it. The internet has been known to make fun of very unsafe acts and turn it into memes such as drinking bleach, and killing yourself. But the same reason that allows people to make a mockery of dangerous acts like that is also what makes the internet great and thats whats so frustrating about it.
