As advisors to the PMO of Pinellas County we have identified four critical errors the team will need to avoid to be successful. The errors are deviation, high pressure, accountability and elevate. Studies have found that these errors can cause projects to fail and should be avoided. Proper planning and awareness will decrease the probability of setbacks due to errors.
1. Deviations
According to Tinsley, Dillon, & Madsen (2011), project managers should seek out operational deviations from the norm and examine whether their reasons for allowing the related risk have merit. Managers need to ask these two questions: Have we always been comfortable with this type of risk and has our policy toward this risk changed over time?

Tinsley et al. (2011) states, when the teams are aware misses, they tend to downgrade their importance. One way to regulate this dangerous effect is to require project managers to justify their assessments of past failures.
4. Evaluate
It is important that project managers evaluate each community or county project before and after the job is done. Tinsley et al. (2011) says, when things go badly, it is common for the PMO to conduct investigations to determine causes and prevent recurrences.
2. Myths
The PMO of Pinellas County must put the following myths to rest to assure their chances for success. With all these responsibilities, delegating work should become an integrated part of the team’s process. An effective team knows how to work with one another’s abilities to reach their desired outcomes.

Project Management might not take the type of skills a doctor would need, but it is still a very detail oriented career. Project managers are experts in the art of time management. It is vital to allow enough time for preparation, execution and other duties the project manager is responsible for. All of these reason are why it is imperative for the PMO to make sure they have qualified people in every department of the team ("5 Myths About Project Management", 2015).
