The machine was whirring quietly as Victor worked shakily. The machine was quite large, looming taller than Victor himself. It was beside a table that laid the soon to be bride of the creature, draped under a cloth. A cascading of flips and switches were being made by Victor as he worked fearfully and restlessly. A flash of lightning lit up the sky through the window followed by a thundering boom. Tonight would be the night the creature would get his wish.
When he had set up the machine, he then faced the lifeless form that was to be the creature’s bride. Slowly pulling off the cloth, the body parts of the bride laid before him; her limbs, head, and torso aligned as they would be for an actual human laid down for bed. All he needed to do then was sew her together. He grabbed the needle and held onto her cold, clammy skin. Carefully, he began to sew. He sewed on the long legs to its torso, as well as its elegant arms. Her head was then carefully placed and adjusted on top of the now fully formed body.
He then went to work creating the organs. This part was crucial; assembling the organs within the body is what allowed the creature to live. As he started, first putting in what would be her heart, he shuddered in revulsion. He realized that as he did this, he was right then plaguing the world with another monster. The thought horrified him, but not as much as the thought of not creating the bride. His monster filled him with a paranoia and terror
