In order to get a small glimpse or perception of who she was I able to conduct an interview with her daughter, my mother. I started the interview by asking …show more content…
she believed in empowering and encourage people especially about God and when she bought her churches she could do that for the masses. after getting about her vocation work and achievements I started asking about my mom’s perspective on what her mom was like as a mom.
“would you say she was a laid back or firm parent” I asked.
“She was a firm parent; she didn’t like disrespect” she replied with a serious look of remembrance on her face.
She began speaking on what her belief was which were in line with what the bible said.
“she said she was a prime example of what the bible said and meant for her kids to follow her as she followed Christ” my mom said with sincerity. she continued to talk about how much she loved people and invested in the, especially kids. my mom talked about how her mom kept and cared for so many kids that she stated a school that only went up to eighth grade, but because the kids loved it so much and the parents loved her so much they want their kids to stay, so she looked up the requirements and started a high school for kids beyond eighth grade. prior to this interview, I knew very few things about my what my grandmother did for a living; that she was a great pastor, mother, wife, friend and overall human
