Lucilius if Cassius is “near”. Cassius and his army appeared in the camp and Brutus
standing outside of his tent, Cassius tells Brutus, “You have done me wrong brother!”
Brutus is confused because he doesn’t know what he has done wrong. Both of them are
angry at each other, but decide to take their discussion into a more private area, Brutus’
tent. Lucilius and Titinius guard the entrance to the tent so no troops can come in.
In Act IV, Scene III, we find out the reason Brutus and Cassius are fighting is
because Brutus has arrested a man named Lucius Pella for selling powerful jobs in the

To prepare for the trip,
they all settle down for the night to try to get some rest.
To help to calm him down, Brutus asks Lucius to play a song on his instrument.
Brutus is paranoid so he assigns soldiers to sleep in his tent and keep watch through the
night. Everyone is able to sleep but Brutus who is reading. While he is reading, the
ghost of Caesar arrives. The ghost says that he “shall see him again at Philippi”. Brutus

is terrified and responds, “Well; then I shall see thee again?”. The ghost responds, “Ay,
at Philippi.” Brutus asks him why he would see him at Philippi, and the ghost disappears
without answering his question. Brutus is afraid and wakes up Lucius and asks him if he
is still playing his instrument, thinking maybe it was one of his men making noise and not
the ghost. Lucius responds it was not he, since he was asleep. Brutus then asks Varrus
and Claudio if they were making noise, and they respond that they were also asleep
