HEADLINE: HOW TO MEET JACKIE CHAN
STANDFIRST: FAHIM FADZIL SHARES WITH US HIS EXPERIENCE IN TEP THAT ALLOWED HIM TO DO MORE THAN HE EVER IMAGINED
It was twelve in the afternoon when Jackie Chan, a renowned Hong Kong action-movie star, arrived at Nanyang Polytechnic in Singapore to educate the students about an anti-drug campaign.
His entrance scene into the lucky school depicted sardines in a can, with the bustling crowd squeezing and elbowing their way through to catch even the slightest glance of the world-known celebrity figure despite the scorching hot afternoon sun that had no effect on them, as did the shining Jackie Chan.

Chasing his dreams to be a producer, Fahim has opted to be part of the Production team for this TEP program.
He is currently in the midst of completing twelve video segments to be posted up on NYPtv, a television program in Nanyang Polytechnic that is solely produced by the year threes in his course.
As the students are required to work during office hours throughout the program, Fahim commented that it “felt like a strenuous, boring and lifeless routine after a few weeks.”

“It is an honour to be part of this project, especially since it’s our Jubilee year. I feel like this is the best way I can contribute to the nation so far,” he said.
“Moreover, we are working with external companies to produce the video contents so this made me feel more responsible and it helped me realize my untapped potential.”
From his experience, Fahim has left us with some seemingly simple yet very crucial advices for the juniors who intend on going on the same path as him.
He started with emphasizing on how important it is to arrive on time. Not only does it show a lot about your character and work ethics, it is also essential in completing the task in hand.
At the beginning of TEP, students being too shy to approach people and trying out the foreign equipment were a common sight.
However, Fahim tells his juniors to not let the fear of embarrassment stop them, as ultimately; it is all a learning experience and an important building block of their
