Etho 2 As people say, “Practice makes perfect.” This definitely applies to essay number two for me. The reason why i say that is because this assignment seemed so hard but once the interview and the part of asking to interview someone is all done with, it gets easier. For me, The interviewing part was the easiest because i already knew and felt very comfortable with my interviewee . Although i 've known her for such a long time, her and i never really talked about her background and what it was like for her to be raised In Saudi Arabia be an american now.

We headed to my room to the little area i have with chairs. I honestly did not know where to start, i had so much to say with little time. Ashwag seemed very exciting and the smile of her face showed it.She had a long back dress with a red hijab (headscarf). I asked her where she got her beautiful detailed hijab and she told me the website. I started to ask her about marriage since she was engaged to be married. I wanted to know how marriages and weddings are like in Saudi Arabia. immediately she said, “Horrible! I would never get married in that culture.” I asked, “Why such hate?” She replied, “It 's not hate but it 's a bad system there.” I know there has been many episodes of arranged marriages and some dont end nor start well. Just by her saying that, it 's obvious that she wasn 't a fan. She began to talk about how much arrange marriages are ruining young women and men life because of some being forced. “Marriage is considered a necessary part of life, and almost all adults marry. Marriage is usually a costly affair. Divorce is relatively easy for men and difficult for women. Divorce rates are high, and remarriage is common, especially for men” said Ashwag. I added, “Knowing our religion (Islam) it is forbidden to force a marriage upon someone.” She replied, “Yes honey of course, but that doesn 't stop it from being in the culture of Saudi Arabians and that 's why many people confuse the culture to the religion.” Nodding my head, i tried to understand as i got distracted because of her beautiful big diamond engagement ring. This was getting a little too spicy so i ended that question

In the first paragraph of essay A, there was a meaningful introduction to the quote that was later used. Even before reading the quote, I already had an idea on what the quote was about and how it was used as evidence for the argument. I thought that there should have been a better transition from the writer’s voice to the author’s voice because it felt like there was a sense of urgency when the writer said, “He later states that...”. The writer should have included more information before the quote to show the relevance of that quote. There was a clear understanding of why the quote was chosen; it was chosen to portray how Appiah agrees in whatever Charles Taylor had to say.…

(list at least 3) • In the American Cultural Configuration, Holmes emphasizes that American society is a culture full of fallacies and paradoxes in American logic. Some headings state a topic on how Americans believe in one way, but in reality, perform the opposite. For example, the paradox of education in America would be that while we value practical majors such as law, medicine, business, etc., they don’t really have the motivation to obtain it.…

Culture is a large component in what one deems to be ethically and morally sound. In the family’s culture, arranged marriages are socially acceptable. Not only are they acceptable, but they are the way of life to protect one’s honor. According to Phebe Marr, an expert on Iraq, “in Iraq marriages of young teen-age girls were not uncommon, especially in the country's rural and more conservative regions, like southern Iraq” (Terry 1996).…

However, my neighbor stated that he usually splits domestic duties with his wife, as they share two children, and they both work…
