In the world one live in, there are numerous times where the media have acted biased towards one particular point of view which numerous of people are not aware of and the majority of today’s population fail to notice how the media is manipulating their way of thinking. The news misinforms and less inform an individual due to the coverage of unimportant stories round celebrities and the majority of the time overlook issues that American deemed important or related to the war, education, poverty and diseases. It could be ethical, race, religious bias and or class. The news media is not always honest. The media could be objective about their depictions of the important issues. There are specific issues that are made to look a specific way to benefit a certain group and influence the public opinion. The topics the media spend most quality time on are Government and politics. Very few, if any media outlets today strive to dish out the individuals living in America a balanced report. If important stories are ignored, reported incompletely or the facts that are presented are wrong or not verified at the moment for the audience that are seeking the truth and cast their attention to the news for reassurance, is undermined from the start. The news media is biased and it promotes all kinds of effects including discrimination. In the black community, black crime suspects are presented in the news farther threatening than the whites. These blacks shown to be treated aggressively by cops on reality based TV shows than any other whites being arrested. This kind of media bias not only negatively impacts Black Americans relationship with law enforcement, nevertheless extends to how the African Americans are perceived in society at
