You can say that he was able to handle bullying without harm to himself or others, but you can certainly argue that his personality was damaged due to the lifestyle he had accepted for himself, since he always appeared normal but once he’s mother was informed about what was happening on the bus, she had a talk with him, which revealed that he believed those kids were just playing around, having fun and it was nothing more, it was a striking moment when he asked his mother “then who are my friends? ” and she remained silent. On their part as parents they went in to talk to the school, which however, turned out to be a failure and in a way insulting both to parents and students, the assistant principal had no perception of the entire situation and didn’t want to take into consideration the major effects of the bullying that was taking place in front of her eyes, this is the most compelling evidence, of how little school officials contribute to this …show more content…
She was taken out of the sports team she solely played for but Kelby is determined to bring an end or perhaps shed some light on bullying. It’s disappointing to see that kid 's like Kelby and parents like those of Tyler are going out of their way to do something bullying, but school officials are walking away from this dangerous issue by simply stating “kids will be kids”. The first thing I would do is suggest a comforting, supporting, and an understanding home environment for children because I believe home is where everything starts, every child has the right to feel secure and loved in this world and bullying is a global issue, it is not always physical but often verbal. Parents can and do play a vital role in making this better or worse, in fact, it is not only parents involvement that is necessary but the school official 's attention to this matter is more crucial. I believe when children are going through periods of time when they are unstable that’s when most care and guidance is needed from both teachers and parents. I would take the time to constantly sit and talk with each student as often as possible to see where and how they 're struggling but I’ll do so in a friendly conversation, because of my belief it is important to be aware of what’s going on in a child 's mind in order to help them and this can apply to both the victims or even the bullies. The movie Bully in my way is a great way to raise awareness and I would likely do the same,
