Incorporating a walking program with weekly pedometer goals can be a part of the wellness initiative. To determine the effectivity of the program, screenings can be administered annually just in time for the employee’s annual physical examination for the company. By doing this, employees specifically healthcare workers such as nurses will improve their health and wellbeing to take care of their own patients. By doing this, they are setting up to become good examples of health and wellness for their patients.
