With the characteristics I have to offer, I know I will be an excellent teacher. It takes a certain skill set and personality to become an educator, but an even greater one when you have multiple characteristics. One of my many characteristics is being resourceful. Whenever I’m stuck in situations that need to be solved, I overcome the situation of having the ability to think quickly and cleverly. Being that I always find useful resources to solve problems, I can apply any helpful sources to my classroom, projects, and students. Another characteristic that will make me an excellent teacher is my ability to advocate people. I’ve always been the type of person to find it helpful to receive help and support from others. Based off of personal experience, I know that I’m capable of supporting people and students in any shape or form because it’s very comforting and useful. Last but not least, my best and most favorite characteristic of mine is my sense of humor. I love making people laugh and smile. I find it very useful for students to apply sources they already know, so that final art pieces look spectacular. Having and using outside sources of their own, such as knowing how to crosshatch, will make the shading on a figure look more realistic. Other helpful resources would be knowing how add texture to paintings by using outside appliances such as salt, tin foil or dapping a sponge onto the paper. Constructivism will allow my students to become resourceful, the same way I am. When I say I want to introduce humanism into my classroom as well, it means I desire to help my students find their own truths. I will allow for my students to speak up on their opinions, to draw and paint what they feel, like, or find interesting. I will follow up to the new techniques they’d like to be taught, allow for them choose what final art project they’d like to do (from various options), and allow for them to express their minds freely through
