The women played an important role of power. They stormed into their palace chasing after the queen killing and decapitating the head of the guards. The king and queen are now forced to move back to Paris. They can no longer ignore their people’s orders. The king and queen obeyed to the orders but try to run away years later, which ended to be unsuccessful. The king and queen look to outside sources for help. When the citizens find out that they have now betrayed the revolution, they go out looking for royal blood. The king is put on trial awaiting his punishment. He is sentenced to death via the guillotine. In essence there is a peaceful or violent approach to change. As we saw with the people of France during the French revolution they decided to revolt against those in power. They felt misguided and abandoned. The king and queen did not care for their people. These events may have been avoidable if those in power did a better job. But as we see they were fascinated and distracted with their own lives. They celebrated daily and enjoyed the rich lifestyle they had obtained, completely ignoring the problems and crisis that the citizens had to deal
