Simply fixing hazards and adding safety devices can make a marked difference in your loved one's safety. About 70 percent of the Earth’s surface is covered in water; this makes water the most effective way to transport goods. With the Navy decommissioning old ships and sequestration not allowing the Navy to make many more new ships, there is more area to cover per ship. This leaves the Navy ships spreads a bit too thin, which will surely lead to an increase in the amount of pirate attacks or overall unsafe waters. The current budget, with the sequestered amounts, shows the Navy having to put half of its cruisers out of service until money is available to modernize them. Furthermore, newer ships, such as the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) have been built but due to the current state the Navy is unable to produce more of them (Jean).…

But the postal service is so vital to the economy, and postal strikes cause so much personal inconvenience to so many people. So, I think the government should enact legislation banning all strikes in the post office.” I believe that statement is ‘’the law of non-contradiction’’ because the law of contradiction states that it cannot be of two propositions that contradict each other at the same time and in the same sense.…

I believe that underwater noise has an affect on marine animals such as whales. Using information from the passage I will prove my point. In the first passage titled "What to Do about Underwater Noise" it is stated, "It interfered with their communications and caused them to change their diving and feeding patterns." Since whales interact by sending sound waves to one another the intensity of underwater noise has interfered with the whales ability to hear each other.…

Whales may become endangered as a consequence of the lack of communication caused by human activities. Because the natural noise wasn't enough humans have decided to ruin the ability of whales to communicate by their egocentric activities, for instance, more wind farms, which didn't only make a continues low-frequency noise, but also denatured the whales by making them either make a much louder sound or by communicating with higher frequencies, depleting their energy on such a simple activity as communication. However, scientists have managed to attach a recording device to record the whales' calls as well as the background noises; ironically the devices and ships used for the analysis made the loudest noise that these whales…

There are three sources of income, including fish sales, ship sales, and interests, while the expenses come from operating costs, ship purchases, new ship orders, and interest charges.
