Mr. Clark’s love for East Side was the motivational factor which drove him to return to the school as principal and to raise the school standards. Joes approached to running the school was to be an autocratic leader, thus he handed down instructions to both staff and students and did not considered their opinion. He instructed students be the one to remove graffiti since it was their doing. Joe saw the cafeteria area as a cage and this made the students behaved like animals. This description used by Joe is one of an ‘analogy,’ e.g., comparing the cafeteria to that of a cage. Joe stated teachers needed to reclaim the halls and be in controlled of the learning institution. In his earlier years at the said East Side High Joe Clark used games as a mean of motivating students to learn. This method was adopted when Joe was hired as principal to change East Side High around.

It was also very emotional, for instance when the students came out and demonstrated to get their Principal Joe Clark out of jail. Joe ended in jail because he tried to protect his students from sex, drugs and violence and persons especially one parent was not happy with the technique he used in turning around the school. The movie also appealed to black American to get a reality check and get them to understand that failure is not an option and if failure is an outcome they are to blame themselves. The movie showed how once achieving school can slide down hill and rebounded. It also shows that different situations call for different techniques and management style as different task or objectives are to be realized. The movie also shows that once you show students that you are there for them they would be there for you as well and put their life on the

Russian director, Timur Bekmambetov, he is the cream of the crop, he turns this comic into a movie that make the viewers not sit still and make their adrenaline and cortisone levels spike with the actions. Bekmambetov used the similar style of shots and angles with his previous movie, Night watch. It's more to wide angle (long shot), so we can see the terrifying background like one of the scenes in the torture room, where Wes has been beaten up by the butcher.
