Ghulum Nabi’s son, Zabihullah, who was a passenger on Pamir flight 1102, was 29 when the incident took place. The family did not receive his body until six days afterward, and when they did, it was dismembered.

The first notification of the accident that the witness received was in a newscast. The witness did not speak with anyone from the Afghan government about the occurrence. He does not know Midwest Air Traffic Control or how it was involved in the occurrence. Further, he does not know Honeywell International and he does not know why the plane crashed.

Mr. Nabi believes that he did file a claim against Pamir Airways, but he was not certain as to where. He stated that Pamir said it would investigate the accident and share its findings

The first was for 1,000 USD, the second for 10,000 USD and the last for 13,000 USD. Pamir informed him the $10,000 was a pre-payment and once the issue was resolved, they will pay him the rest. No one has told him that he needs to return this money. He has not received any payments from the Afghan government or any other source. He deposited the money that they received in a bank account for Zolaikha.

Ghulum Nabi has been retired for the last seven or eight years. He was an officer in the army for thirty years in charge of firearms and ammunition. He has a wife, five sons and a daughter. He has owned and lived in apartment 127 on 3rd Street, Kabul, for the last twenty years. In May 2010, he lived there with his wife, Salima, his son Mohammad Harron and his wife, Zabihullah, Zabihullah’s widow, Azeroo, and Zolaikha. Azeroo and Zolaikha still live with him and Azeroo is not engaged.

Azeroo and Salima do not work outside the house. Zabihullah’s brother, Mohammad Harron was a student in May 2010 and Zabihullah gave him money. Mohammad Harron is now working in a pharmacy, is earning 18,000 Afghani per month and contributes money toward the family
