Many emotions can be connected to products, including trust, happiness, confidence, and passion.

Emotion is one of the three modes of persuasion identified by Aristotle. The other two are logos, or logic, and ethos, or authority.
But today we are focus on the emotional appeal in advertising. Emotional appeals advertisement such as fashion magazines play on our insecurities about body image. When there is any advertisement which plays on our fears, mentally weakness, these are all emotional appeal.
There are many ways to make a great printed ad. One of the methods is to promote through fear. In psychology, fear is one of the strongest advertising motivators. Through the printed ad, it can show the consequences if people fail to buy or act. For an example, what happen if you don’t buy life insurance? What happen to your family if anything happen to them without insurance? Who will help you to pay the medical fee if last night you involved in an accident? After the ad, be sure to back up the arguments with facts and figures of independent sources such as the statistics from Bank Negara

Many companies use the compassion appeal to make their ads more attracting and build empathy with customer and to promote sales as well.
