Global warming is one of the most serious problems that people all over the world are dealing with. In fact, however, many people may not realize that global warming also affects animals as badly as it does to human. All Americans should help protect animals from global warming because global warming changes animals’ habitats, decreases food supplies of animals, and even shortens animals’ lifespan. One huge impact of global warming is the change in animals’ habitats. When the earth’s temperature is increasing, it creates the change of weather conditions in a certain area, which causes some kinds of animals in this area to live with many difficulties, or sometimes those kinds of animals are forced to move to new region when they cannot

In addition, global warming causes the lack of sources of food of the animals. As the habitat changes, it is obvious that some plants or types of animals are going to die while they are the main food for other animals, so these herbivores and predators have to fast, or they do not have enough food to feed on. This information is mentioned in the article “How Does Global Warming Affect Wildlife,” as well; it states that sea ice is melting because of warmer climate, and that leads to a decrease in number of ringed seals because they do not have enough places to give birth and raise their younger. Unfortunately ringed seals are main prey of polar bears, so the bears have many difficulties hunting seals to eat (National Wildlife Federation, page1). Clearly when global warming appears on any region, all kinds of living things in it are in danger.
Another severe effect of global warming on animals is the short lifespan. Although animals might struggle to live under the two effects above of global warming for now, animal species completely cannot make it through for the rest of their lifetime because animals cannot improve their bodies’ structures to adapt the change in their habitat. For this effect, cold-blooded animals are specific examples; according to the article “Amphibians Don’t
