E. coli is an acronym for the word Escherichia Coli, it is a bacterium commonly found in the lower intestine of warm blooded organisms which causes strain, and usually severe food poisoning as well. You can become infected by coming into contact with human or animal faeces which happens when you drink water or eat something that has been contaminated. Symptoms can range from small pains such as a fever to more severe pains like kidney failures. Some symptoms are bloody diarrhoea, anaemia, dehydration, loss of appetite/nausea, pale skin etc. Weeks 1,2,6,7,8 and 10 have low E. coli counts which equals a low to slight risk of gastrointestinal (with a few exceptional days as the E. coli level was between 200 – 400 counts / 100m) compared to weeks 3,4,5 and 9 …show more content…
Becoming water wise does not only benefit us but the environment and future generations to come, which is our goal initially. The long-term effect will not only be harming killing the environment but causing ourselves and others to get sick. Therefore, there would hardly be anything for generations to come and that’s why we need to use resources effectively, for a healthier and safer future and to ensure a clean environment. We can ensure this by making sure that we dispose of human -by making sure there aren’t any leaks in sewage pipes or waste dumps- chemical and medical waste properly and preventing a water runoff into rivers or dams which overall stops water pollution but this can only take place if we make others aware of this world-wide crisis. This will help us to accomplish to save water in a sustainable and economical manner. WHAT IS POLLUTED WATER? Water quality is defined as water which is safe, drinkable and appealing to all life on earth. It should contain no chemical or radioactive substance that is harmful to the health of any life.
