It was recently discovered that an act of plagiarism was committed by me for an “Ethics” writing assignment in one of my courses. Although, I am absolutely mortified by this isolated occurrence, this was an honest mistake. Unfortunately, I can’t deny that it happened. I wish I was given the opportunity to submit my final draft but completely understand the reasoning behind your decision. I can surely appreciate the need to be fair across the board for all students attending Simmons College. I accept the repercussions for my actions and fully understand the rationale given during our telephone conversation. This decision has been more than fair. This will be a learning experience and I will only grow from this event. My goal for the remainder of my time here at Simmons College is to be proud of all writing assignments that I submit. I want my professors to enjoy reading what I submit and give positive feedback. Currently, I always fear turning in papers due to my lack of confidence with my writing skills. I wholeheartedly care about my academic studies at this institution and I admit what I did was extremely careless. Throughout the course I've received all good grades except for the Ethics paper in which I failed to submit my final draft for grading. I have failed myself with my absent mindedness and Simmons
