In the book Divided We Fall Daniel Wright had to deal with things most 17 year olds don’t want to deal with. He joined the Idaho National Guard so that he can be like his father and provided for his country like his father did. When Boise, Idaho was going crazy with riots the Idaho guardsmen had to go stand on the front lines of the riot to try to stop it. They were trying to do everything in their power to stop what was happening when something terrible happened. Many of the protesters were arrested and they were starting to be struck with tear gas. Daniel Wright was the one that fired his weapon making other guardsmen and protesters fire their weapons. The news states “The White House at this hour has confirmed that despite Governor Montaine’s efforts to prevent federal law enforcement from entering Idaho, the first arrest has been made in connection with the late August shootings in Boise…An arrest warrant has also been issues for seventeen-year-old Private First Class Daniel Wright of Freedom Lake, Idaho.” (Reedy 173). The President has figured out who was the one that fired the shot at Boise and they are now putting a warrant out for his arrest. He went to Becca’s field to shoot gun while he was on private property and a news drone was trying to film him while he was shooting making things look worse than they already were. He went to the rodeo and he got into a fight because the news had been out about him firing the weapon. During a Friday night football game after the game ending and they were coming out of the locker room the door was full of people trying to get things out of Daniel but couldn’t. At the same football game they were getting on the bus to go home when he had a gun drawn on
