I accessed this article through the Chadron State College Library. Brion Sever produced the information in the article, his information was found through information and research from the Salem Press Encyclopedia of Science. The article is very credible because it has been peer-reviewed by other professionals of that topic and it has graphs throughout the paper, which makes the information in the article reliable. Families or friends of suicidal individuals are typically the people I am trying to target for this paper. Many family members and friends do not know of the help they can provide for their loved ones under this type of situation and indicators find to help suggest suicide. I wanted to be able to write my paper as an informative paper to people that does not know much about suicide. Being a person with no intention of being suicidal or having suicidal thoughts, I tried to write this essay thinking from a family member’s or a friend’s perspective and different issues that could happen and how to overcome the issue. I also tried to write this paper coming from a suicidal person’s thoughts, which was hard for me because I have never experienced this in my life. However I have had lots of experiences with suicidal individuals, which consisted of friends and family members by having this type of experience allowed me to gain more insight on my paper about suicide. Not only did this paper give my audience more knowledge about suicide but it also helped me as the writer to better understand the seriousness of it. As for the audience I was trying to make them aware of suicide and that it is a serious issue in today’s society. However I did try to make my point get across to the students even though it may have been hard to understand the significance because some people may have never experienced suicide before. I was trying to be information towards the audience as well as demonstrating the overall importance of suicide. As young adults I felt this was an appropriate time to address suicide because suicide is becoming a norm of today’s society and many families or friends are becoming subjected to
