This is because most of them are employed by an existing union. Such unions are beneficial in the sense that a teacher is guaranteed protection. The same cannot be said of charter schools. Due to the fact that they do not abide by government regulations, it is possible to employ a teacher with no certification. Duffett, Ann, Farkas and Steve (2008) emphasized on this issue of teachers union (pg1 pg2). Also the students attending such schools get to enjoy free bus transportation. Parents are thus able to save some cash that would have been used on the other system for the same purpose as they do not have such benefits.
Public are transparent in submitting their information about the school to whoever wants to have a look. This makes it easy for decision making and evaluation of performance. The case is different when it comes to their counterpart as they are less transparent. Private institutions are responsible for their running and thus the level of transparency thus lowers significantly. Since governments of various states are responsible for creating public schools, they tend to set up many rules that would govern them while charter schools are subject to fewer rules and
