Register to read the introduction… As Sheriff John Wydell takes aim at the Firefly's demonic abode ready to shoot whoever comes in his view the family takes precaution with a few things up their own sleeves. The Firefly family has armor of steel masks and vests, along with firearms throughout the family farmhouse. The Firefly family consists of Mama Firefly (Leslie Easterbrook), Otis Driftwood (Bill Moseley), Tiny (Matthew McGrogry), Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig), and Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie) pull off a great performance throughout the whole film. Mama Firefly is a mom who will stop at nothing to keep her family together which is what causes her to get captured by the sheriff and taken into custody. You can see the fury wash over Sheriff Wydell's face as he interrogates Mama Firefly in a damp solid room when she refuses to give up her family's whereabouts. Leslie Easterbrook completes her character with the craziness and the look of living a hard life. Her demeanor during the interview is strong willed giving into the idea that her family is important to her and there is nothing that would make her give her family up (Zombie, …show more content…
The audience is meant to emotionally connect with the Firefly's family, as they are the central focus of the entire story. The hero in William Forsythe's Sheriff John Wydell is strong but it is clear the movie does not want us invested in him. The Devil's Rejects was not made to make you feel like you are escaping your daily life. Would you truly want to escape your life into a murderous cult? Okay, some of the demented, twisted people of this world would. The Devil's Rejects shows the audience that anyone can be a murderer, even the sweetest most innocent looking as with the character Baby. The film also makes it known that people will do whatever they are told to do if they believe it will keep them alive or even save one's own self. The Devil's Rejects Unrated version had no real use of censorship. The film shows the visual murderous acts, the loose use of foul language, and even the private areas on many of the …show more content…
The film opens with newspaper clippings about missing people and a summary of how they were found. Then the film goes to the present where the family is being assaulted upon. At the end of the movie in the barricade shoot out there are flashback pictures of happier times for Baby, Otis, and Captain Spaulding. Being a fan of using freeze frame and slow motion this can be found throughout the whole film. The slow motion focused on certain important parts such as when Baby and Otis escapes out of the Firefly home through a sewer pipe during the shoot out and again when Baby runs out of the house when Sheriff John Wydell is chasing her down. Music is playing to drown out dialogue causing the scene to be more traumatic. The director behind this movie was shown to be fond of using freeze frames, slow motion, and zoom-ins to get the story out. This film was nothing less than what was to be expected from Rob Zombie with all the sexual explicit material, bloodshed, and violence. There was a bit of raw humor when watching this film and would not be recommended for the faint of heart. Each element of the film was mastered together to create an incredible sadistic movie including the process of editing so that the audience does not get left behind wondering what was going

"Wanted" is basically from a comic book that has limited series written by Mark Miller and J.G Jones, it is about an amoral protagonist (Wesley Gibson) who is discovered as the heir of super assassin. Russian director, Timur Bekmambetov, he is the cream of the crop, he turns this comic into a movie that make the viewers not sit still and make their adrenaline and cortisone levels spike with the actions. Bekmambetov used the similar style of shots and angles with his previous movie, Night watch. It's more to wide angle (long shot), so we can see the terrifying background like one of the scenes in the torture room, where Wes has been beaten up by the butcher. Not even that, there are many special effects that Bekmambetov applies in this movie, like slow-motion with sound effects that certainly provides that "ouch" reaction from audiences.…

Throughout the film, the paradoxical anti-Semitic view of Jewish self-hatred can be seen but along with this, viewers see that as much as Danny hates Jews and Judaism, he cares about the traditions as well. Although Danny kills himself, thus ending the protagonist, the ending of the film is inconclusive. One could argue that Danny chose to take his own life because of his internal struggle between being a neo-Nazi and a Jew.…
