Egypt didn’t get the memo. The sick police holding the detainees perform gruesome torture on the poor souls. “Among the methods of torture employed are techniques previously used by state security during Mubarak’s rule. These include the use of electric shocks, rape, handcuffing detainees and suspending them from open doors. Another hanging method, known as “the grill”, involves handcuffing the detainee’s hands and legs to an iron rod and suspending the rod between two opposite chairs until the detainee’s legs go numb. In February of 2014 a 17 year old student was taken into custody for being part of the Muslim Brotherhood. He remained in custody for 47 days without ever receiving a trial. Many human rights are being violated towards the citizens of Egypt every day. Eight Articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights have been broken by the misdoings of the Egyptian government and police. The United Nations need to address these problems in Egypt. The United Nations need to look into the situation in Egypt to identify those responsible with a view to ensure that the perpetrators of the Human Rights violations are held accountable. All support to Egypt needs to be stopped until the issues of Egypt’s inhumane crimes are stopped and the violators of International Law be accountable for their actions. {This guy needs work
