Teaching safety at a young age will not only encourage them to make safe decisions later on in life but it will introduce what is and is not appropriate. Such as, when I’m at work and the young children are playing near kitty pools on the cement I remind all the kids to walk when they are near the pools so they do not slip and fall and hit their head on the cement. This teaches the children that if they run too fast around the pools they could slip and fall and potentially crack their heads open. With that in mind lets discuss how do these three factors determine the future well-being of a child? Well, If a child is not overweight his mental health will encourage positive thinking along with good health and making safe decisions. Another thing we could discuss is how health, safety and nutrition impact and influence each other. Some examples would include, If a person is not properly nourished or safe from harm then that person is at risk of being unhealthy. Similarly, if someone is not nourished then that person is more likely to get sick because their immune system is not as strong thus they are more likely to break bones due to the lack of vitamins that person has. Also, teaching children to eat healthy such as eating broccoli rather than eating potato chips also teach them to take age appropriate bites so they don’t choke. Finally, teaching children how to properly wash their hands not only encourages healthy hygiene practice but it is also safe because it reduces the chance of spreading germs or getting
