A single episode of cyberspace harassment when faced alone results in higher levels of everyday stress and anxiety in adolescents. Victims are hesitant to seek for help because they worry about confiscation of the only tool they have to connect with the social world, which prolong the duration of the online harassment not being corrected (Gross 497).
