Nestle is the world’s biggest health, wellness and nutrition providers. The company owns around 33, 000 employees, and as a biggest multinational company, it operates in 83 locations around the world. The company also operates as a leading manufacturing company with its 461 factories around the globe. Nestle operates in several developing countries and almost 50% of its factories operate in developing countries. The company practice strong principals of ethics and claim to protect the trust of its stakeholders. These sets of principles and policies are refereed under CSR practices guide and company’s code of conduct. These principles focus on consumers, supplier and customers, employees, the environment and the human rights with labor practices. To produce their products company purchases raw materials from the private sector.
Nestle is a secondary sector of manufacturing industry as produce and distributes their products to the customers. For example, the company directly purchases the cocoa for the manufacturing of Aero, Smarties, and Ki KAT, companies leading brands. The company also aimed at developing gender balance in their workforce. Nestle has also set an example by making it sure that it’s all employee must be covered in good health management systems. The company also practices the rules against corruption and bribery. The company also offer training on their corporate business principles that focus on environment and nutrition safety.
