This made sense to them for they were on foot and the men their wonderful husband sent to find them were in vehicles. Though Florida had hoped that it would have taken longer than three days for them to catch up with them since they had to search the whole desert while the girls only had to walk in one direction. Now that they knew that there were men following them during the day Florida suggested to Jamal that they should travel at night since they could hide during the day while the men looked for them during the day and would have less chance for the men to find them. She also said that after a few days the men would pass them and give up since the desert is too large and they were close to the border of another tribe that dislikes their husband’s tribe. This was bothering Florida since she knew there was more predators out in the desert and they would probably smell the blood that came from the wound and come find the wounded creature so they could have easy prey. Florida’s only relief came from the fact they were six days from the nearest village that was in the desert. The only reason she knew this is because that was her original home. They travelled six more days on the trail when Jamal collapsed from the blood loss. Florida did not know what she should do since she could not carry Jamal the rest of the way, but she knew they should not stay in the middle of the road. Florida was about to leave and see if she could hurry to the nearby village and back before Jamal died when she hear something that she feared more than being captured again. She heard the sound of a lioness’s growl, Florida froze, and then she started to run. This was her mistake for the lion attacked and caught Florida ad killed her, while another went for Jamal.
